Beating all the odds, transexual Nadia Almeida has tonight been named the winner of Big Brother 2004.
On hearing the news, she screamed loudly before jumping up off the air. "Well done pal," said Jason as he hugged her while she sobbed.
"Oh my god," she spluttered before taking a seat back down, visibly shaking and breathless.
After the eviction of runner-up Jason, Nadia spent twenty minutes alone, shaking, smoking and trembling as she tried to take the news in.
Finally, at 10.45pm, the time came for her to leave the Big Brother house. The crowd united in a chant of her name and fireworks lit up the Hertforshire sky as she exited, visibly shaking and in tears.
Her bewilderment and astonishment continued as she was led through the crowd and up onto the interview stage. Fellow lip gloss bitches Marco and Emma were in tears at the sidelines - even the toughest Jungle cat, Victor, shed a tear.
"There are no words that can show my happiness inside me," were her first real words.
She continued to cry as Davina told her she had been the bookies favourite for six weeks and had received a massive 74% of the final vote.
On keeping her secret a past, she explained: "It wasn't a secret, I just didn't mention it at all. It was very hard because at times I felt I had to lie a little bit and there were times I needed a person to be open to."
More tears followed as she was reunited with her mother for the first time in over a year.
Finally, all the housemates gathered together on the stage as Davina closed the show while another fireworks display lit up the night sky.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, was Big Brother 5.
